Chapter 23 - Shadows, Wights, and Death, oh my!

Continuing on following the dragon men deeper into the ruins, we find two dead dragon men before being attacked by many shadows. A fight breaks out, with Shadows being turned and then coming back and then being killed. During this attack, Slade is killed and his shadow joins the fray, and is killed.

Taking his body, we continue on down, and fight yet another undead which drains more people of their health. We destroy it. We think about resting but Kory is able to restore people's drained strength and health. In any case, Talice refuses to go on and sets camp to wait for us outside.

Chapter 24 - Pick your battles

Continuing on, we fight another nasty undead and despite Ferras seeing "death" in his eyes we destroy it. Going further we explore deeper and deeper, killing two 40' nasty skeletons and continuing on, thanks to Kory's healing. We find a torture room with a nearly dead dwarf named Ragnor. We heal him and he comes with us. He seems....dull of wits.

Going deeper we pass a room with dead demons and go deeper and deeper. Go through a darkness hallway into a room where the dragon men we are fighting undead in a ball of darkness. We surround it, and take part in the fight, but only partially, as we mostly wait to see who wins. The dragon men win and when two emerge we attack them both, dragging them back into the light and subduing them! Counting bodies however, we realize one got away invisible, and the chase begins....

Chapter 25 - The Dead are Risen

We chased the invisible dragon man but he flew away. After checking out the tomb, we discover that an evil powerful magic item seems to be missing. Quickly searching the area reveals not much, so we head off after the dragon man. Before we can leave, we notice that Slade is now alive again...well...kinda...he's actually risen undead, but seems himself and is not evil. We are suspicious, but bring him with us.

He seems to be flying quickly, because our griffins can't catch him. We follow for a couple days. During those days we spot undead that seem to have risen from the swamps. We also find an bedraggled man who says he was already sent to this tomb by the leaders of the floating city, several years ago, and when they found the artifact, they headed back, but undead rose from the swamp to impede them, and then the guy carrying it went crazy and attacked them. He returned with the artifact to the tomb (and was the undead that the dragon men killed in the end).

Contining on, we finally catch the dragon man surrounded by some undead birds. We attack him, but he seems ready. A battle ensues and the dragon man ends up fleeing...again we mount the griffins for the chase...

Chapter 26 - The Black Obalysk

Chasing the dragon man led to the dragon man city. In the center, slowly being surrounded by undead, was the gate to the floating city above (but it had been closed). On the spot, the dragon men had build a huge black tower. We infiltrated the tower through the doors below and began sneaking our way through the tower.

We found several human slaves, and they told us about magical mirrors that led to various places inside the tower. Looting and stealing we made our way up to the 3rd floor.
